Maintaining Your Lawn


            The lawn is one of the first things people see when they look at your home. This area of your yard can say a lot about your home and the amount of care you put into it. The lawn is also a great place for children to play and family's to make memories, so so don't let your lawn become disastrous.

            The first step to having a great lawn is mowing. When you mow the lawn you are not only keeping the area look crisp and styled, but you are also providing the lawn with a better chance to be healthy. Moving the lawn means you need less water and nutrients to keep you yard healthy and flourishing. It is best not take off more than 1/3 of the length of your grass each time you mow.

            Watering is a major factor when it comes to your lawn. All plants need plenty of water, but one of the worst thing you can do for your lawn is to water too soon. There are certain hours in the day that will cause the water to scorch your plants and ruin them. Watering in the evening when the weather has cooled is the best time as it gives the water plenty of time to soak into the soil before the sun begins to hear up the weather again.

            Weeding is a crucial part of maintaining your yard. Weeds can actually take over the roots that you grass and other plants need to survive, which can make your lawn look terrible. The best thing you can do for your lawn is to look for weeds twice a week. Once you eliminate the majority of the weeds this process will only take a few minutes and will help your lawn look amazing. 

            Your lawn should be something you take pride in. So, with these tips you can have a yard that looks and feels great before you know it. You will love how many compliments you get on your lawn's makeover as well as your hard work.
