Also, remember to protect any surface you don't want paint to get onto, like floors. What follows is applying primer to the surfaces. Primer helps the paint dry properly as it creates a smooth and consistent layer for the paint to be spread over and to bind onto. A final tip: Remember to sand between coats. A 120-grit paper should be enough.
